Features Of Shubhyog
Access control in the software maintains two types of profiles for users:
  • Branch Access Profile identifies users who belong to a branch as Branch Manager or Center Manager. Details of these users are captured as “Staff Members”.
  • Function Access Profile classifies users into four categories:
    1. Admin      2. MIS Manager      3. Data Entry      4. Read-Only

The software allows extreme flexibility in loan product definition. Each loan product has a Minimum and a Maximum Amount with multiples of units, tens, hundreds or thousands. Multiples can also be a  peculiar amount such as Rs. 293, if we so desire. Interest rates can be flat or reducing or can be part of EMI or lump sum payment. Installment pattern can be daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or one-time.

Fee Types

Further, fees can be collected at a variety of dates, such as application date, GRT pass date, disbursement date, etc. Hierarchy Software recognizes the same establishment hierarchy which exists in the organisation. This is depicted below:
Head Office --» Region --» Area » Branch --» Center --» Group --» Client

Tracking Funds from Funder to Client
Source of each loan is recorded at the time of capture a loan application. Accordingly, it is possible to track the entire portfolio of a particular funder. We provide read-only login Ids to funders so that they are able to check the status of their loans online.

History (Audit Trail)
History of every data item is maintained by the software. Any activity of creation, editing, updation and deletion of a data item is recorded along with the ID of the user who performed the activity.

Deletions are only marked as deleted and not physically removed from the database. Financial Accounting Software maintains books, ledgers, trial balance, etc. separately for each location (branches, areas, etc.).

Chief Technology Officer

“At Sahayog, we always strive to make technology the backbone of operations. My aim is to provide people in ground to be the direct users of technology. We develop, deploy -they learn, they use.”

Named as Shubhyog shubhyog.sahayogmicro.in, the Management Information System in Sahayog is fully automated information system for microfinance function and users are on-line from day one of operations of the organisation. The software for MIS is in advanced stages of development. MIS in Sahayog tends to use the work-flow process for storage and retrieval of information, instead of traditional data-entry, processing and report printing systems. So, it functions more as an ERP (Enterprize Resource Planning) application for Microfinance, rather than just being an MIS.

The software takes the operational data in day-to-day working, Field Officers go in the field and conduct projection meetings. In each projection meeting, they identify clients who are interested in obtaining micro-credit from our organization. These clients are grouped in batches of five and 5-6 such groups (known as JLGs - Joint Liability Groups - or SHGs – Self Help Groups) join together to form a Center. Each user submits a registration form along with relevant KYC (Know Your Customer) documents.
Training is an educational process. People learn new information, re-learn and reinforce existing knowledge and skills, and most importantly have time to think and consider what new options can help them improve their effectiveness at work. Effective trainings convey relevant and useful information that inform participants and develop skills and behaviors that can be transferred back to the workplace. The goal of training is to create an impact that lasts beyond the end time of the training itself.
